Live Vocalist Kristen Kaelber

Kristen Kaelber
Co-Owner & Vocalist

Kristen is a graduate of Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor Degree in both Music Performance and Business. She was an active member of Muhlenberg’s Choir, Opera Group, and Chamber Singers. For the past 20 years, Kristen has been a professional vocalist, singing at weddings, funerals, and other services in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Kristen has received multiple outstanding service awards for her musical contributions to fundraising events. In addition, Kristen has worked as a professional actress. She has done regional theater, most recently seen in the Muhlenberg College summer stock productions of The Sound of Music, Kiss Me Kate, and Fiddler on the Roof.

Live Vocalist Jean Cingara

Jean Farinella-Cingari
Co-Owner & Vocalist

Jean has been studying voice for over 20 years. She received a vocal scholarship to Wagner College where she studied music theory and performed in Wagner’s choir. Additionally, she has sung in other local choirs throughout the tri-state region, making ensemble singing and harmony a particular skill. Solo performance and creativity is something Jean is passionate about. She has been a wedding ceremony singer for Catholic Churches and other secular venues since 2004 and has participated in local community theatre productions since the age of 9. Jean has ample experience in understanding the flow of a wedding day as she has worked with hundreds of brides and grooms as a production consultant for their videography and photography needs since 2013. She has assisted couples with securing the proper amount of timing in their itinerary for an overall perfect flow of their day with their vendors

Beyond Soul Music | Cellist, Annette Espada

Annette Espada
Cellist

Annette has performed with the Casals Festival Orchestra, the Puerto Rico Symphony, the Miami City Ballet, the Virginia Symphony as well as with the New York Grand Opera and Broadway shows. She has appeared as a soloist and/or chamber musician at the Pablo Casals Museum (PR), Gusman Concert Hall (FL), Merkin Hall and Sommer Center at Concordia College. Dr. Espada has presented lecture-recitals at SUNY at Albany, Christ and St. Stephen’s Church (NYC), the Ponce Art Museum (PR) and InterAmerican University (PR).  Also the author of The Evolution of Cello Playing in Puerto Rico: The Legacy of Pablo Casals and Tips about Cello Playing I Learned from a Ladybug, Annette Espada serves on the faculty and is the Chamber Music Dept. Head at Concordia Conservatory. Dr. Espada earned a D.M.A. from the University of Miami, a M.A. from NYU and a B.Mus. from the PR Conservatory; her masterclass teachers include Antonio Janigro, Miklos Perenyi, Marcal Cervera and Piero Farulli.

Eddy is an active freelance violist based in New York City. A native of Long Island, he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Viola performance from The Juilliard School, where he studied under acclaimed violist William Lincer and received the William Gluck fellowship. His past instructors have also included Irene Stitt, Patinka Kopec, Margaret Pardee and Heidi Castleman. 

Mr. Malave’s work as a freelancer has carried him around the world performing in prestigious concert halls throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the South Pacific and the America’s. He has performed alongside a diverse array of artists, some of who include Sir Elton John, Patti LuPone, Andrea Bocelli, Placido Domingo and Dimitri Rostropovich and has also collaborated with various artists such as DJ Victor Calderone, composer and producer A.R. Rahman, Bright Eyes and countless others. 

In New York City, Mr. Malave is a sought after performer who plays in a variety of ensembles. In the past he’s performed with the Se Jong Soloists and currently plays with the Orchestra of St Lukes, the New York City Ballet Orchestra, the New York Oratorio Society and the Grace Church Choral Society. He also performs in a number of Broadway shows and in chamber music projects. 

In addition to his work as a freelancer, Mr. Malave is an AmSAT- certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. He has presented the technique in countries around the world, including Austria, Italy, Jordan, Singapore, Argentina, and Canada and at Institutions in the United States such as the Juilliard School and at Steinhart New York University. He also teaches privately in New York City.

Beyond Soul Music | Violinist, Paula Flatow

Paula Flatow
Violinist

Paula, an experienced performer, is a much sought after freelance violinist in the New York City area. Ms. Flatow has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, St. Ignatius Orchestra, Northeastern PA Philharmonic, Oratorio Society, Music Sacra, Stamford Symphony, Grace Church Chorale, NY Gilbert & Sullivan Players and the Manhattan Concert Productions. She has been featured in both films and TV including August Rush, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Gossip Girl, the NBC pilot Kings and the hit show 666 Park Avenue. Performances with artists have included Josh Groban, Aretha Franklin, Johnny Mathis, Jerry Garcia, Deep Purple, Foreigner, and Last Play at Shea with Billy Joel, just to name a few. In addition, Ms. Flatow has performed for three Popes when they have visited New York City. Broadway credits include Radio City, Miss Saigon, Titanic, Peter Pan, The Lion King, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Showboat and The Boy From Oz. Ms. Flatow was a recipient of the Edward B. Stein Award, Helena Rubinstein Award and is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honor Society). She holds a B.A. from Boston University and a Masters of Music from the Manhattan School of Music.

Trumpet Player

Tom Verchot, trumpet player, has performed with New York City Opera, Opera Orchestra of New York, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Orchestra of St. Ignatius Loyola, Orchestra of St. John the Divine, Orchestra of St. Patrick’s Cathedral (MSG Papal Mass in 2015), New Jersey Symphony, Philharmonia Virtuosi, Bach Aria Group, Amor Artis, Hartford Symphony, Springfield Symphony (MA), Greenwich Symphony, Greater Bridgeport Symphony, Ridgefield Symphony, New Philharmonic of NJ and the NE Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Mr. Verchot has performed for numerous Broadway shows including Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and Finding Neverland. Other commercial credits include playing lead trumpet for Lorna Luft, and Clint Holmes at the Café Carlyle. He is featured on the recording of Bach’s Second Brandenburg Concerto with the American Festival of Microtonal Music on the CD Early. Internationally, he held the position of principal trumpet of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy, for 6 seasons, and was a member of the Orquesta Filarmonica del Bajio in Guanajuato, Mexico. Thomas has a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University (PA), and an M.M. in Trumpet Performance from Manhattan School of Music. His trumpet teachers have included: Edward Treutel, John Ware, Vince Penzarella, Peter Bond, James Pandolfi, Laurie Frink, and Dominic Derasse.
